What are you doing this evening?

“Do whatever you do so well that no man living and no man yet unborn could do it better”

Benjamin Mays, U.S. educator, found in My Soul Looks Back, ‘Less I Forget, ed. By D. W. Riley (NF)

My plan this evening was to write more of my book, or finish an article or something.

Obviously, things have changed. My simple answer to this question is the quote from Benjamin Mays; to do what I do well better than anyone else has ever done.

It seems like an insurmountable task, given that there are such great orators, philosophers, and authors (my favorite being Mark Twain) out there with works that have outlived their deaths.

However, I realize that we are all capeable of doing much more than we are. It’s like what Christopher Robin always says to Winnie the Pooh,

“If ever there is a tomorrow when we’re not together, there is something you must always rememeber;

“You are braver than you believe,

Stronger than you seem,

and smarter than you think.

But the most important thing is,

Even if we’re apart, I’ll always be with you.”

Christopher Robin from Winnie the Pooh

We are all stronger than we give ourselves credit for, we just need to trust our abilities and believe in ourselves that we CAN and WILL create the reality that we want to live in.
